How much do no-prep veneers cost?

Brinate, the no-prep veneer at Wonjin Dental, comes in three types, from ₩330,000 to ₩990,000 per tooth. “Every clinic charges something different, and all the reviews say they didn’t shave anything.” When you are looking into discolored or gapped front teeth, worries about price and about shaving come together. The two need to be looked at separately.

Platinum0.1mmLayered by handAbout 2 weeks₩990,000

Where does the price difference come from?

The price difference comes not from how much is shaved, but from thickness, how the veneer is made, and how long it takes to make. All three are placed without shaving, so there is no anesthesia and no temporary tooth. Basic, which is pressed, can be finished the same day; Build-up and Platinum, which are layered by hand, are made thinner at 0.1mm but take more time.

The total cost also depends on how many teeth are done and whether existing restorations need to be removed. If you compare only the per-tooth figure, you end up lining up treatments that differ in diagnosis and in how they are made.

Front tooth positions that decide whether no-prep veneers are possible

Which teeth can be done without shaving?

Teeth that already have room for a veneer: teeth with gaps between them, small teeth, or teeth set slightly inward. In those spots, there is no need to cut into the front surface. Brinate is the treatment for these cases.

Your teeth nowTreatment
Gaps, small, set inwardPlaced without shaving
Surface staining onlySometimes even thin porcelain can cover it
Dark color from insideWe look at thickness and masking power together
Sticking forwardNot placed, or assessed after moving the teeth

When are no-prep veneers not possible?

If the upper teeth already stick forward, or if there is a skeletal protruding mouth, we do not place them. They would look bigger and stick out more. Being thin does not mean every tooth can be done no-prep.

Even when shaving is needed, the first priority is a design that stays within the enamel (the outer layer of the tooth). Veneers bonded to enamel and those where dentin has been exposed differ in how often they come off or chip. Rather than never shaving at all, keeping the outer layer even when shaving matters more for lasting a long time.

Can thin veneers cover dark teeth too?

Color sitting on the surface can be covered even by thin porcelain, but color coming from inside, such as a tooth that darkened after root canal treatment, requires looking at thickness and masking power together. If the judgment is wrong, the inside shows through. The more severe the discoloration, the more we first check what is causing the color. The criteria are explained in detail in whether front-tooth veneers are possible.

How we do it at Wonjin Dental

At the consultation, I first look at how much room there is on the front surface now. I do not promise no-prep based on price alone, and I do not place veneers on teeth that stick forward. After bonding, I advise patients not to bite hard things with their front teeth, and if they grind their teeth, we also consider a night guard.

Frequently asked questions

If I don’t like veneers I had done before, can they be redone?

Yes. But the first priority is not to shave more of the healthy tooth while removing them. Separating them by weakening only the bonding layer means less of the tooth wall is lost.

How long do no-prep veneers last?

I do not state a fixed lifespan. It depends on the bond, the bite, and habits such as teeth grinding. Simply checking the bond and the bite at regular checkups can greatly reduce chipping or coming off.

Can I use any toothpaste after getting veneers?

Whitening toothpastes with strong abrasives can dull the surface shine, so I do not recommend them. Regular toothpaste and a soft toothbrush are enough.

Are no-prep veneers sensitive?

Without shaving, dentin is not exposed, so sensitivity tends to be low. However, for a few days right after bonding, the teeth may be briefly sensitive to cold. If sensitivity continues, we recheck the bonding margins and the bite.
