1. How to read these standards
The Resolution Standards are a basis for agreement or recommendation. If you and the Clinic have a different settlement agreement, that agreement comes first.
Each treatment has its own section. The source of the figures also differs by section. Only the relevant section applies to each treatment.
| Treatment | Section | Source of figures |
|---|---|---|
| Implant loosening or breakage after placement | 2. Implants | Resolution Standards (notice) |
| Stopping implant treatment midway | 3. Stopping implant treatment midway | Korean Academy of Periodontology (not a notice) |
| Whitening, masseter Botox, lip filler | 4. Whitening · Masseter Botox · Lip filler | Resolution Standards (notice) |
| Brinate, crowns, inlays | 5. Brinate · Crowns · Inlays | Clinic’s own calculation (not a notice) |
| Orthodontics | 6. Orthodontics | Korean Association of Orthodontists recommendation · Clinic’s own calculation (not a notice) |
| Other self-pay treatment | 7. Other self-pay treatment | Common principles below |
In all cases, we settle as follows.
- Refunds are based on the price on your receipt. Whoever claims a different amount must prove it.
- We deduct only the value of treatment already provided and the actual loss that normally results from cancellation. We do not deduct the value of treatment you did not receive. If a payment or booking platform fee is not returned to the Clinic, that amount is deducted from the refund.
- When the Resolution Standards calculate compensation or refunds from a deposit, and the deposit is more than 10% of the treatment fee, only 10% is treated as the deposit.
- The diagnosis fee is not deducted a second time as a deposit.
- If the amount received is less than the amount to be deducted, the difference may be charged.
- A cause attributable to the Clinic means not providing the agreed treatment, or not performing the contract, without a valid reason.
- A change of mind after explanation and consent is a cause on the patient’s side. It is different from a treatment error.
- Whether there was a treatment error is handled by the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency or the Consumer Dispute Settlement Commission. Any compensation for it is separate from the refund calculation in these standards.
When we do not refund
- We do not refund for subjective aesthetic dissatisfaction alone, such as color, shape, size, or feel. After bonding or fitting is complete, the table in the relevant section applies.
- If a restoration, implant, or appliance comes off or breaks because of your teeth grinding, injury, smoking, or not following oral care instructions, the guarantees and refunds in these standards do not apply.
- When we refund, you return the restorations, appliances, and lab work the Clinic made or fitted. If they are not returned, their value may be deducted.
2. Implants
We follow the “Implants” item for the medical industry in the Resolution Standards. This applies to implants, front-tooth implants, Osstem implants, and Neo implants.
| Situation | What the Clinic does |
|---|---|
| Regular checkups up to 1 year after placement | No cost to you |
| Implant fixture comes loose within 1 year of placement | Re-treatment (at the Clinic’s cost). If this happens twice, the full treatment fee is refunded |
| Restoration comes off within 1 year of placement | Refitting (at the Clinic’s cost) |
| Screw breaks within 1 year of placement | Screw replacement (at the Clinic’s cost). If this happens 3 times, you may choose another medical institution, and the Clinic pays that treatment cost |
In the following cases, the Clinic may charge a separate fee.
- Treatment was interrupted because your payment of treatment fees was delayed
- You missed regular checkups 2 or more times
- You did not properly disclose your medical history
- You were affected by another injury or illness
- The fixture, screw, or restoration came loose or broke because of your teeth grinding, smoking, or not following oral care instructions
- The fixture, screw, or restoration came loose because of your carelessness
3. Stopping implant treatment midway
The Resolution Standards do not set refund rates for stopping implant treatment midway. We follow the stage-by-stage rates of the Korean Academy of Periodontology, which the Korea Consumer Agency referred to in its mediation cases. These rates are not a notice.
- This applies to implants, front-tooth implants, Osstem implants, and Neo implants.
- We apply the refund rate for the stages actually completed.
- If the fee table lists a detailed implant diagnostic exam, that amount may be treated as the value of the diagnosis stage.
| Stage | Share the Clinic refunds |
|---|---|
| Diagnosis and treatment plan | 90% |
| Fixture placement surgery | 47% |
| Prosthetic restoration | 0% |
The rates in the table convert the Korean Academy of Periodontology’s procedure fee shares of 10%, 43%, and 47% into refund rates after each stage is finished.
The cost of placement materials is settled separately. If any of the following were done separately, their value is settled according to whether they were provided.
- Simple bone graft
- Complex bone graft
- Sinus lift (crestal)
- Sinus lift (lateral)
- Custom abutment
- Zirconia abutment
- Implant screw replacement
- Additional prosthesis (pontic / remake)
- Screw tightening
4. Whitening · Masseter Botox · Lip filler
We apply, by analogy, the “Dermatology procedures and treatment” (cosmetic purpose) item for the medical industry in the Resolution Standards.
- This applies to whitening, tooth whitening, whitening (home + 2 in-office sessions), non-vital tooth whitening, BLC 3, masseter Botox, and lip filler.
- If the contract is by number of sessions, we deduct the sessions you received. If the contract is by period, we deduct the treatment provided up to the cancellation date.
- If the deposit is more than 10% of the total, 10% is treated as the deposit.
| Whose cause | Before treatment starts | After treatment starts |
|---|---|---|
| The Clinic | Deposit returned, plus 10% of the deposit as compensation | Amount received is refunded after deducting sessions received, plus 10% of the total as compensation |
| The patient | 90% of the deposit refunded (10% as compensation) | Balance refunded after deducting sessions received and 10% of the total |
5. Brinate · Crowns · Inlays
The Resolution Standards do not set stage rates. The steps are diagnosis, preparation, lab work, and bonding. Below is the calculation set by the Clinic.
- This applies to Brinate, ceramic Brinate, all-ceramic crowns, front ceramic crowns, front zirconia crowns, back-tooth ceramic crowns, back-tooth zirconia crowns, back-tooth gold crowns, ceramic inlays, gold inlays, and resin inlays.
- If your receipt or treatment cost plan lists separate amounts for each stage, those amounts apply.
- We apply the refund rate for the stages completed. Stages not done are not counted.
- Once bonding is complete, there is no refund.
| Stage | Share the Clinic refunds | When it is complete |
|---|---|---|
| Diagnosis | 90% | When the oral exam, photos or video, model or scan, color and shape decision, and treatment plan are done |
| Preparation | 70% | When shaping or trimming the teeth is done |
| Lab work | 30% | When an order to the dental lab or in-house fabrication has started |
| Bonding | 0% | When the restoration has been bonded or placed |
- The rates in the table are the share of the agreed total that the Clinic refunds when that stage is complete. The stage values are diagnosis 10%, preparation 20%, lab work 40%, and bonding 30%.
- If no tooth preparation is done: 90% when only diagnosis is complete, 50% once lab work has started after diagnosis, and 0% once bonding is complete.
- Once preparation is complete, we refund 70% even before lab work. If temporary teeth were made separately, the fee-table amount is also deducted.
- Lab work can only be used for that patient. Even if it is returned, we refund 30% once lab work has started.
- Whitening, tooth whitening, whitening (home + 2 in-office sessions), non-vital tooth whitening, and BLC 3 done before Brinate are settled separately under Section 4. Brinate polishing is deducted only if it has already been provided.
- The Resolution Standards item “Dermatology procedures and treatment” does not apply. The Clinic does not perform plastic surgery. The penalty tied to the scheduled surgery date under the Resolution Standards item “Cosmetic surgery” does not apply.
6. Orthodontics
The Resolution Standards have no item for orthodontics. We use the Korean Association of Orthodontists’ “Recommendation on Orthodontic Fee Refunds” as the basis for agreement and recommendation. The recommendation is not a notice.
- The orthodontic diagnosis fee is 10% of the agreed total. This is the Clinic’s own calculation, and it is not deducted a second time as a deposit. If your receipt or treatment cost plan lists a different diagnosis amount, that amount applies.
- The initial fee (diagnosis and start-up cost) is not an appliance fee. Like the monthly fees, it is a treatment fee.
- Special appliances are adjusted case by case.
Removable orthodontics · Clear aligners
This applies to clear aligners. The Association added clear aligner appliances to its recommendation in December 2017. The period brackets for fixed braces (40%, 20%, 10%) do not apply to clear aligners.
| Stage | Share the Clinic refunds |
|---|---|
| Before fabrication of the appliance starts | 90% |
| After fabrication starts, before it is finished | 90% minus the actual lab loss |
| After the appliance is made | 0% |
- The 90% before fabrication starts means only the 10% diagnosis fee is deducted.
- The 0% after the appliance is made means that treatment fee is not refunded. It does not mean the rest is returned minus only the lab fee.
- Lab work can only be used for that patient. Even if it is returned, the actual lab loss already incurred is deducted.
Fixed orthodontics
This applies to partial orthodontics, partial orthodontics MTA, orthodontic start – MTA, orthodontic start – Clippy C, orthodontic start – Combi, and orthodontic start – lingual braces. The rates for stages 1 to 4 are the minimum refunds in the recommendation and are not adjusted.
| Stage | Share the Clinic refunds |
|---|---|
| Before the appliance is fitted | 90% |
| After fabrication starts, before fitting | 90% minus the actual lab loss |
| 1. From fitting the appliance to aligning the teeth (within 6 months) | 40% |
| 2. From alignment to closing the spaces (within 1 year) | 20% |
| 3. From closing the spaces to fine adjustment (within 1 year 6 months) | 10% |
| 4. Retainer period | 0% |
- The 90% before fitting means only the 10% diagnosis fee is deducted.
- Partial orthodontics and partial orthodontics MTA can be short, so we apply the rate for the stage that matches actual progress.
Retainers and add-on items
The value of items already made, fitted, or provided is deducted.
- Retainers: fixed retainer (FR), clear retainer (CR), removable retainer (CCR), retainer at orthodontic start
- Add-ons: half FR remake, full FR remake, FR rebonding, FR repair, FR removal, FR CUT, CCR WIRE CUT, orthodontic screw, long-term absence (relapse treatment fee)
7. Other self-pay treatment
Self-pay treatment not covered in Sections 2 to 6 is settled under the common principles in Section 1.
This applies to composite resin, resin veneers, premolar resin, molar resin, front lingual resin, proximal resin (R/V), labial resin (B/N), cervical resin (C/A), tooth contouring, gum contouring, gum treatment, scaling, self-pay scaling, oral checkup, stain removal, fluoride application, night guard for teeth grinding, resin core, post, grinding, GVX, self-pay panoramic X-ray, Minoclin, and appliance case.
- The value of treatment already provided is deducted.
- Before lab work starts, the lab fee is not deducted.
- Restorations already fitted and actual lab loss already incurred are deducted. Returning the lab work does not change the lab fee deduction.
8. Deposits and third-party payments
The website does not take deposits or treatment fees.
- Refunds of amounts paid through Naver booking, by phone, or through KakaoTalk follow that provider’s terms and procedures.
- If Naver booking, card payment, or mobile payment fees are not returned on cancellation, we refund after deducting that amount.
- The Clinic does not refund amounts it did not receive directly. If a cancellation needs the Clinic’s confirmation, we will cooperate without delay.
- If you only booked by phone without a deposit, there is nothing to refund.
9. Refund procedure
Apply by phone (+82-2-3476-2879) or in person at the Clinic. Please show your receipt, treatment cost plan, and payment history.
Once the settlement amount is confirmed, we process the refund. Card payments and bank transfers follow the payment company’s cancellation procedure, so the deposit or approval cancellation may take some days.
10. Dispute resolution and changes to these standards

These standards apply from September 20, 2026, to self-pay treatment fees the Clinic receives on or after that date. Amounts received before that date follow the information or agreement given at the time. If the Resolution Standards change, or the Clinic’s way of receiving or settling payments changes, we will publish the change on this page before it takes effect. The effective date and last updated date are shown.
