What are the steps?

  1. First visit: we look at the tooth position, bite and gums, decide the color and shape, and take impressions
  2. Fabrication: a technician layers and fires the porcelain. About 1 week for Build-up, about 2 weeks for Platinum
  3. Second visit: we try the veneers in your mouth to check color and shape, bond them, and check the bite
  4. We recommend one check-up after bonding

Since the tooth is not shaved, no anesthesia is used, and you go about your days with your own teeth while you wait.

Why does Platinum take a week longer?

Because the porcelain is layered and fired on platinum foil, and the foil is removed once it is finished. The edge along the gum is finished more smoothly.

When does it take longer?

  • When cavities or gum inflammation need treatment first
  • When whitening the neighboring teeth that will not get veneers: we usually wait about 2 weeks for the color to settle before matching it
  • When a tooth sticks out and orthodontics comes first
  • When there are many teeth or the color is matched several times
