Why do implant prices look different from clinic to clinic?
Because what is included in “one implant” differs. Whether it means only the artificial root (fixture), or also the connecting part on top (abutment) and the crown, and whether bone grafting is included, can’t be seen from the name alone. Wonjin Dental’s fee table lists these items line by line.
| Implant item | Price |
|---|---|
| Osstem implant SA / BA / SOI | ₩300,000 / ₩500,000 / ₩800,000 |
| Simple bone graft / complex bone graft | ₩150,000 / ₩300,000 |
| Custom abutment / zirconia abutment | ₩200,000 / ₩300,000 |
| Sinus lift, crestal approach / lateral approach | ₩500,000 / ₩1,000,000 |
If there is enough bone, the bone graft line is not added; if the bone height above the upper molars is not enough, a sinus lift is added. When items like these are added, their names and prices should be in the table. The process is explained on the implant page.
How much do crown prices vary by material and position?
Gold, ceramic and zirconia differ, and even with the same zirconia, front teeth and molars are made to different standards. For front teeth, the color, translucency and the edge at the gumline are visible; for molars, chewing strength comes first.
| Crown | Price |
|---|---|
| Anterior (front tooth) ceramic crown | ₩800,000 |
| Anterior (front tooth) zirconia crown | ₩700,000 |
| Posterior (molar) zirconia crown | ₩500,000 |
| Posterior gold crown | ₩800,000 |
| Posterior PFM (porcelain fused to metal) crown | ₩400,000 |
Why do veneer prices differ by type?
Because the method and time it takes to make each one differ. Brinate is the same treatment in every case — placed on the tooth without grinding — but the thickness, timeline and lab cost change depending on whether it is pressed from a mold or built up by hand.
| Brinate (per tooth) | Thickness | Timeline | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | Around 0.3mm | Same day possible | ₩330,000 |
| Build-up | 0.1mm or less | About 1 week | ₩550,000 |
| Platinum | 0.1mm or less | About 2 weeks | ₩990,000 |
If you are curious about veneers on their own, see why veneer prices differ.
Do remakes and retreatment factor into the price?
They do. A treatment that goes back and forth to the lab several times because the color doesn’t match and one that is matched in a single go may look the same in price, but they are different inside. I don’t choose the shade from photos alone; I look directly in the mouth and, if needed, temporarily attach it to check, which reduces the back-and-forth.
Retreatment involves more items than the first treatment. Re-cementing a restoration that came off and making a new one after treating the tooth underneath are different items. The same name does not mean the same price.
So when you compare with another clinic’s estimate, match up the item names one by one. Only by putting the same lines side by side can you see where the price difference comes from.
How we do it at Wonjin Dental
There are no prices we reveal only during a consultation. Every item is in the table, and we never charge more than the posted price. Cosmetic treatments such as whitening and Brinate are priced with VAT included. Which items you need is decided after an examination, based on the condition of your teeth and your goals. As of September 2026, VAT included (cosmetic treatments). The full list of items is in all fees.
Frequently asked questions
Are implants covered by health insurance?
Yes. People aged 65 and over are eligible for up to 2 implants in their lifetime under Korean National Health Insurance, and we will check the conditions for coverage at your appointment.
What should I compare between cheap and expensive clinics?
Compare what is included in the total under the same conditions. For implants, look at whether bone grafting, the connecting part and the restoration are included; for crowns, the material and position; for veneers, whether the tooth is ground down and how they are made.
When is the treatment cost finalized?
Some items, like the condition of the bone, can only be known from imaging, so the cost is finalized after the examination and diagnosis. Any items that might be added are explained to you before treatment.
Can the same treatment be split between insured and not covered by insurance?
Yes. Scaling is covered by insurance once a year and is otherwise not covered, and implants are covered by insurance if you meet the age-65-and-over condition. That is why the same name can come with different prices depending on the conditions.
